‘Once & Sweet’ Spring

I recently had the pleasure of working with my dear childhood friend Jenn Segal, chef and author behind the elegantly delectable cooking blog ‘Once Upon A Chef,’ and inspiration behind my starting Sweet Sabelle. She enlisted my help to create a floral tablescape for a luncheon where her ninety-one year old ‘Nonny’ was the guest of honor. A springy bright table was in order to reflect this spring-like weather, and pretty blooms to satisfy Nonny’s love of flowers were a must. We filled the table with a springy collection of purple and soft pink sweet peas, bright green viburnum, soft green hellebore, purple forget-me-nots, soft pink spray roses, bright yellow and cream daffodils, creamy lisianthus, soft purple hyacinth, and bright tri-colored ranunculus. She served the most amazing meal of recipes from her blog including grilled salmon, asparagus salad with chopped hard boiled egg and Dijon mustard sauce, sliced baguette with butter, radishes and sea salt and her luscious lemon squares. I was lucky enough to get to sample the asparagus salad and radish baguettes. They were out of this world delicious!
