For Georgia

For Georgia

I’ll never forget walking up the stairs at the National Gallery’s East Wing, in Washington, DC, and being greeted by Georgia O’Keeffe’s ‘Sky above Clouds IV,’ in 1987 at their show Georgia O’Keeffe 1887-1986. I was only 14 at the time, but her clouds and flowers resonated somewhere deep within, and I feel I share her love of flowers. To honor her 125th birthday today, I thought I’d share a few flowers that I think she would appreciate. Thank you, Georgia, for really showing us flowers.

If you find yourself in Santa Fe, New Mexico, I highly recommend visiting the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum.
