The Fashion Chef at Barneys New York

A friend turned me on to Charlotte Neuville and her decorative cake company, The Fashion Chef, and photos on her website of flowers at a french market had me at Bonjour. As I read on, her return to a love of the pastry arts after a thirty year career in fashion kept me intrigued. And then there are the cakes themselves. As stated on her website, “each creation by The Fashion Chef reflects Charlotte’s deepest passion – to create, inspire and celebrate beauty in the world.” I was hooked. Her sweet creations can be seen on Barneys ninth floor Chelsea Passage, and tasted in Fred’s restaurant adjacent to the display. She was asked to create cakes that reflect Barneys holiday theme “Electric Holiday” in conjunction with Disney. I love the sweet parcels tied up in bright ribbons and bows aglow. I look forward to touring her studio to see her wedding flower creations. I’ll let you know just how delectable they appear to be!
