Museum Hopping

After eleven years living in New York, I finally made it to The Cloisters, The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s museum and gardens devoted to the art and architecture of Medieval Europe. It was a beautiful Spring day and the Violets and Bleeding Hearts were in full bloom. What a delight to see the earth waking up from a long, cold winter. The structures awash in history perched above the Hudson River are the perfect escape from the bustle of the city. I look forward to seeing the bounty the gardens have to offer throughout the year. And it won’t take another eleven to return.

Below photo I took at the MET. I love the giant flower and the flowing fabric carved in stone.
