It’s the end of October but you wouldn’t know it by the warmer temperatures. I’m finally getting around to posting photos from a late July visit to Planting Fields Foundation in Oyster Bay, NY. The flowers were in full bloom and the grounds were magical. I was taken with the Italian Garden and how the bluish-green verdigris color of the pool is reflected throughout the grounds; most notably in the jewel-box gem of the Elsie de Wolfe-designed tea house. I could have lingered all day. If only I lived closer, I might linger more often.
