One of the things I love about having a blog is finally getting to see the places that have been on my list. John Derian is one of those places. I have admired his decoupage plates for years. With an emphasis on vintage botanical prints and memorabilia, what is there not to love? His two stores at No.6 and No. 10 East 2nd Street in the East Village of New York City are feasts for the eye. Filled with his own extensive decoupage collection, artwork by Hugo Guinness, earthenware from Astier de Villatte, paper flowers from The Green Vase, as well as a wide array of treasures, furniture and bedding found on his forays to France and countries around the world, I can guarantee it will be difficult to leave empty-handed. I didn’t!
