No. 6 & No. 10 John Derian

No. 6 & No. 10 John Derian

One of the things I love about having a blog is finally getting to see the places that have been on my list. John Derian is one of those places. I have admired his decoupage plates for years. With an emphasis on vintage botanical prints and memorabilia, what is there not to love? His two stores at No.6 and No. 10 East 2nd Street in the East Village of New York City are feasts for the eye. Filled with his own extensive decoupage collection, artwork by Hugo Guinness, earthenware from Astier de Villatte, paper flowers from The Green Vase, as well as a wide array of treasures, furniture and bedding found on his forays to France and countries around the world, I can guarantee it will be difficult to leave empty-handed. I didn’t!

Beth!!! I just want you to know how excited I am when I open up my emails and see your flowers, design, inspirations line!! No matter who or what I am in for a treat. This one featuring John Derian is another WOW!! So great. I used to go there often and have used it as a model in my head for my next venture. But your post will make me go thus week (somehow with my schedule) because I have never seen the shops so packed with goodies!! I start a 4 day a week-4 week internship at Opalia for Cal and Phoebe on Tuesday. Can’t wait! Would love to plan a little holiday lunch or holiday tea with you before the year slips away. My treat, somewhere cozy, maybe somewhere on your list to blog or research. Hugs!! Kady
