A New Leaf: Weeks 18 & 19

Two weeks have run into each other. The good reason behind this combination is that at two weeks since my last reporting, I am, again, pain and headache-free! There’s not much to report, except that adherence to my protocols yields marvelous results, woohoo! (Except I had a headache this morning ever so slight and I know it was because I was in the hot sun on a job yesterday where I didn’t have time to eat or hydrate enough. I’m trying to make up for it today, Sunday.) This past week I have noticed joint inflammation where my joints are very slow on the uptake of motion. Perhaps it was from two Sundays of eating those heavenly Levain Bakery cookies, mere bites both times.

We were in the midst of another surreal time here in New York City this past week. The smoke from Canadian wildfires in Quebec Province to our north hovered over the Northeast for three days and gave New York City the unwanted distinction of the world’s worst air quality. Wednesday was the worst of it. An orange pall of haze enveloped the city and filled our airways and lungs with the smell and pollutants of a fire burning hundreds of miles away so strong that felt like it was coming from the next town over. It bettered yesterday, Saturday, but is back in the Unhealthy range today, Sunday. Good thing we were able to get our hands on an air purifier for the home. Stay safe all.
