A New Hope in the City: NYC April 2021

Things are starting to look up in the city. More people are getting their vaccinations and Spring is starting to show its colors. I found myself in the Flatiron District last week and marveled at how the city seems to be transforming in beautiful ways with the residual effects of living through a pandemic. Restaurants have more capacity with outdoor dining. Art installations are returning to the parks. Jobs are slowly returning. And the flowers that we missed last year are out in their glory, heralding the gift of hope. Happy Earth Day 2021!

Architect Maya Lin’s tree installation about the effects of climate change called, “Ghost Forest,” opens to the public May 10th through November 14th, 2021 in Madison Square Park.
