Regenerate: An Anniversary

Regenerate: An Anniversary

Regenerate: bring into renewed existence; generate again, bring new and more vigorous life to. The gift of a new year.

This post began a week into the New Year, and now we are a week into February. (!?!) Time is marching on, as is the nature of life on this planet. I have completed a year on the bean protocol healing journey (this is my 22nd post on the journey). I feel profound gratitude for making my health a priority. For making myself a priority, if I read between the lines. It sounds so simple, yet self-nurturing can be such an enigmatic life skill.

We all know what we’re supposed to do. But sticking to it is the challenge. Thankfully, once I learned what actions would most likely make me feel better, the sacrifices no longer felt as such, and rather feeling good became the grail. A life without headaches feels so liberating! I am still working on the thyroid healing part of the equation, I have faith!

I have learned a lot about myself in the last year. I’ve learned I am stronger than I think. I’ve learned that eating lots of wholesome food is essential and effective. I’ve learned that a bit of quiet time each day makes me feel better. And I’ve learned that what we think plays an integral role (I’m still working on that one). I hope this has been helpful in any way. I’ve enjoyed recording the journey. Here’s to health!

I loved Artist Anne Patterson’s ribbon installation, Divine Pathways, hanging in The Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine’s Nave. Scribed with prayers from local communities and the church, the collective billow of the ribbons reminded me of how the energy that fuels every action on this planet connects us all. (Too bad I missed High Wire Artist Philppe Petit’s (of World Trade Center fame) walk through the ribbons above the Nave on February 1st.So grateful to have seen Leslie Odom, Jr. in, “Purlie Victorious,” on Broadway.
