As Hurricane Sandy whips and whirls outside my window, I’m reminded of the fall leaves that will most surely be gone prematurely. Here are a few looks at an apple orchard near Princeton, New Jersey, just days before Sandy touched down. The leaves were just starting to show their brilliance. And the apples weren’t bad either. We brought home a couple yummy bushels. At least now I will have good reason to bake since we will be home for a few more days. If only the power allows. Here’s to Apple Pie! Stay Safe All.
