For Georgia

I’ll never forget walking up the stairs at the National Gallery’s East Wing, in Washington, DC, and being greeted by Georgia O’Keeffe’s ‘Sky Above Clouds,’ in 1987. I was only 14 at the time, but her clouds and flowers resonated somewhere deep within, and I feel I share her love of flowers. To honor her 125th birthday today, I thought I’d share a few flowers that I think she would appreciate. Thank you, Georgia, for really showing us flowers.

If you find yourself in Santa Fe, New Mexico, I highly recommend visiting the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum.
